FAQ
What are the benefits of joining the VVBW?
Members enjoy additional advertising benefits, and special member rates. See our member benefits page for more details! We welcome non-members to attend meetings as a guest.
What is the Spotlight Speaker?
This is an opportunity for a member to spend a couple of minutes introducing their business to the group at the beginning of the meeting. This is a very personal way to attract new customers or clients! If you are a member you are eligible to be a Spotlight Speaker. When you recieve your evite indicate that you would like to do an introduction.
Why do you need my email address?
We make every attempt to respect the environment by using email rather than paper. We send the monthly meeting announcement via email and an occasional announcement, but you will NOT get a barrage of emails from us. We will never sell or distribute emails and we have the utmost respect for your privacy.
Do I need to RSVP for meetings?
Absolutely! PLEASE respect the amount of organizing that goes into the evening, and send your rsvp early. RSVP numbers are communicated several days in advance to the chef to order food, to the host to arrange seating, to the board members for check-in and name tag printing, and to the speakers to plan for materials and handouts. We will make every attempt to accommodate walk-ins, but cannot guarantee a meal.
Meeting Format:
Here’s what to expect! We will detail any changes in the email announcement before the meeting.

- 6:30 - Announcements! Then a couple of introductions from members. (Spotlight Speakers)
- 6:45 – Dinner begins.
- 6:45 – 7:45 – Program and featured speakers (with Q&A if appropriate).
