November Update from the Board of Directors

Hello Fellow Vail Valley Business Women – The 10th Mountain Distillery Event in Gypsum WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. Surprisingly, the snow storm did not keep many away as we had 42 registered and 30 showed up. Thank you if you were part of the 30 for helping to make the event full of networking, laughs (and smiles), and building deeper relationships with one another. We hope that you all started your work day the next day with a brighter and lighter heart and inspired to elevate your business. We especially loved that the event was supposed to end at 7:30 and most everyone stayed until 8:30. The feedback by many of you in attendance was that it was their favorite event so far – we will definitely have another one there in 2023. Thank you to the owner of 10th Mountain Distillery, Ryan, and their amazing bartender, Conner, for a wonderful and educating tour and high quality cocktails. Thank you also to the Vail Daily ladies for presenting their passion for what they do.

Next month is our Holiday Soiree at the Vail Ski Museum on Wednesday, December 14th from 6-9. We will open the event registration page up early next week as we are still working on a few final decisions before that goes live and we will email everyone when the registration is open. This event is unique in that we ask you to invite as many people as you can to help us make our fundraising goal. This means that MEN ARE INVITED as well. It will be a fancy event so please dress in holiday festive attire.

Proceeds go to the advancement and future growth of professional women in the Vail Valley. We direct our fundraising efforts to college scholarships for young high school graduating women – with a goal of providing (8) scholarships for $1,000 each year of a young woman’s two or four year college education, totaling a fundraising goal of $8,000 minimum. The young women are selected from the five area high schools within the Eagle County School District. The recipients are selected in cooperation with the Youth Foundation's Community Scholarship Collaborative each May.

Please reach out to Nouara at memberatlarge@vvbw.org or text/call her cell at 720-226-5849 if you would like to donate something or help solicit donations. Also, contact her if you would like to help the day of the event, we need lots of volunteers to help make this a successful event. You can download and print he donation form my CLICKING HERE.

We look forward to seeing you in December!
